Andover Police Searching For Hit-And-Run Driver That Injured Man
A man who was hit while walking his dog was taken to the hospital with a head injury.

ANDOVER, MA -- Andover Police are searching for the driver of a car that allegedly hit a 52-year-old man who was out walking his dog on Salem Street Friday night. The man called police from his home requesting help at 8:20 pm, shortly after the driver drove away without stopping.
While the man was taken to Lawrence General Hosptial with a head injury, the dog was uninjured. Edward Guy, spokesman for the Andover Police Department, told the Eagle Tribune, which first reported this story, some identifying pieces of the vehicle that hit the man were found at the scene.
"We hope the person who was involved will do the right thing and come forward," Guy told the newspaper. "Unfortunately we do have someone who was injured. It's better to come forward and admit the mistake and more forward."
