Andover Public Schools: COVID-19 Information & Dashboard For 2021-22 School Year

Dear APS families and staff,

I wanted to offer more detailed information with regards to COVID-19 protocols in our schools. As we have mentioned in a previous communication, the district will be implementing the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s (DESE) Test & Stay and Symptomatic testing programs this year. We anticipate these programs will be provided by DESE in the coming weeks. 

If you plan to give the district consent for your children (families) or self (staff) to participate in these programs, we ask that you review and sign the electronic form as soon as possible. The universal on-line consent form must be available to view by the school nurse or state testing administrator before either Test & Stay or Symptomatic testing can take place (please note the district is not participating in routine pool testing this year).

The district is also providing information regarding cases, contact tracing, and quarantine protocols on the COVID-19 dashboard and a webpage. At the September 2nd School Committee meeting, Dr. Parvey outlined educational support for students who are quarantined due to COVID-19. 

This information is always subject to the changing conditions of the pandemic. We will also continue to communicate important updates with our families and staff through email.
