Andover Rec’s 2nd Annual Howl-o-Ween Dog Parade Event is Saturday

Andover Recreation is hosting the 2nd Annual Howl-O-Ween Dog Parade and Costume Contest on Saturday, October 27 from 12-1:30 pm.

Andover, MA – Calling all dog owners! Andover Recreation is hosting the 2nd Annual Howl-O-Ween Dog Parade and Costume Contest on Saturday, October 27 from 12:00-1:30 pm at The Park at the corner of Chestnut & Bartlet Streets.

In the first annual Howl-o-Ween event, over 35 dogs and their families came out in Halloween costumes and marched through the park proudly showing off in the pooch parade! Every different costume, from a taco dog to ballerina dog were featured. There were also duos, with peanut butter and fluff dogs, and things 1 and thing 2 dogs. Entry into the contest is just $5/pup.

In addition to the dog parade and contest, the event is open to the community to enjoy for free! There will be vendors, games, crafts, and prizes at the event that is sure to be enjoyed by everyone who loves dogs!

The 2017 winner was Luna, who was dressed up as a waitress, followed in second place by Lady dressed as Daphne from Scooby Doo, and in third place Hoyt as Where’s Waldo!
