Andover Town Manager Proposes 3.8% Budget Increase

The budget proposal includes a 3.8 percent increase for schools, bringing school spending to $85.6 million.

ANDOVER, MA -- Andover Town Manager Andrew P. Flanagan proposed a $201.2 million budget for Fiscal year 2020, up $7.4 million, or 3.8 percent, from the current year. Flanagan presented the budget, which still needs to be approved by Town Meeting, to selectmen on Monday.

The budget proposal includes a 3.8 percent increase for schools, bringing school spending to $85.6 million. In his presentation, Flanagan said the increase was partially offset by more state funding propose in Gov. Charlie Baker's budget.
