Andover Turnout At 60% Going Into Election Day

The town clerk expects Andover's voter turnout to surpass the 2016 number.

ANDOVER, MA — About 15,000 Andover voters had already cast their ballot, as of Saturday, Town Clerk Austin Simko said Monday. That's 60 percent of registered voters, Simko said.

Simko expects at least 5,000 more ballots to be cast on Election Day, which would beat 2016's total turnout of 19,572. In the September state primary election, 9,716 votes were cast in Andover.

Residents who requested mail-in ballots can still return them by mail or using the secure drop box at 36 Bartlet Street. Ballots must be submitted to the drop box by 8 p.m. Tuesday, or postmarked by Tuesday and received by Friday. You also vote in person, Tuesday.
