Andover Garden Club Presents “Products from the Ocean…”

Event Details

41 Central St, Andover, MA, 01810

At the Andover Garden Club’s March 3 meeting, Ann Molloy, co-owner of Neptune’s Harvest, will present “Products from the Ocean to Set Your Plants in Motion.”

Neptune's Harvest is a division of Ocean Crest Seafoods Inc., Gloucester, which was established in 1965 as a wholesale fish and seafood company. The division was formed to help solve one of the fishing industry’s most expensive, wasteful, and environmentally harmful problems: the disposal of 60 to 70 percent of each fish (guts, organs, fins, bones, and scales—known as the “gurry”) remaining once it was filleted.

In conjunction with the state of Massachusetts and local universities, Neptune's Harvest developed a process through which an environmental hazard was transformed into an environmental benefit: liquid fish fertilizer. After several years of trial and error and further refinements, Neptune’s Harvest believes that they now offer the finest fertilizers (either organic or inorganic) available today.

The event will be held at South Church (41 Central Street, Andover MA) on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. It will begin at 10:00 AM with social time and refreshments, followed by a brief business meeting. The presentation will start at approximately 11:00 AM.

The public is encouraged to take advantage of this program. A $10 donation is requested of nonmembers. Guests should mention if they are a member of another garden club.

Founded in 1927, the Andover Garden Club (www.andovergardenclub.org) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that encourages the study and practice of horticulture, landscape design, and floral design; aids in the beautification of the town of Andover; and helps protect and conserve natural resources.
