In conjunction with its "Through the Garden Gate" tour, the Andover Garden Club is holding a Green Elephant sale, offering perennial plants and herbs; gardening supplies; gently used gardening tools; indoor and outdoor containers; and a few unexpected treasures. The sale will be held at 197 Haggetts Pond Road in Andover. Tickets aren't required for the sale, but they will be available for purchase, should shoppers wish to extend their outing by visiting several lovely private gardens. The tour runs from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM, but the sale opens at 9:00 AM.

The Artisan Market at the Mills is the largest handmade market in North Andover, featuring ~120 artisans and specialty food vendors from all over New England. The 2026 Artisan Market will be held on Sunday, May 31st from 10-3 and is a rain or shine event. The Market will be held in the parking lot behind the West Mill at 50 High St. Ample parking is available directly across the street in the East Mill parking garage. The Temple Emanuel Sisterhood invites the community to Mah Jongg Madness, an afternoon of friendly competition, connection, and fun for Mah Jongg players of all experience levels. 
Open to the public, this community event will feature Mah Jongg play, prizes, table rotations, and opportunities to socialize with friends—both old and new. To encourage engagement and friendly competition, players of varying skill levels will be mixed and tables will rotate throughout the afternoon. Instructions on rules, scoring, and movement will be provided at check-in, along with a brief overview before play begins. Light refreshments will be served.COST:

Historic house museums have long shaped how we understand the past—but whose stories have been centered, and whose have been left untold?
Hidden Histories is a dynamic panel discussion that brings together museum professionals, historians, and cultural practitioners to explore how historic sites can move beyond traditional narratives to tell fuller, more inclusive stories.
Hosted by The Trustees in partnership with the North Andover Historical Society and North Shore Juneteenth Association Inc., this conversation will examine how historic house museums are reinterpreting spaces, collections, and archives to acknowledge the lives, labor, and experiences of marginalized and underrepresented communities.&nbsp;

Hidden Histories: Expanding Narratives and Inclusive Storytelling in Historic House Museums

On Saturday, June 6, the Andover Garden Club will present “Through the Garden Gate,” a tour of seven beautiful private gardens in Andover—plus a couple of extras. The properties on the tour include two historic home sites, a pollinator paradise, and a clever solution to a challenging sloped yard.
The tour, to take place rain or shine, will run from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Tickets cost $35 in advance or $40 on the day of the tour. Tickets may be purchased online at <a href="https://www.andovergardenclub.org/2026-garden-tour" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.andovergardenclub.org/2026-garden-tour</a>.
On tour day, attendees should present their email confirmation at either 31 Lowell Street or 10 Alonesos Way, both stops on the tour, to obtain their tour booklet, including map. Tickets may also be purchased at these sites by check or credit card.
Tour Extras—Shopping and a Bonus Garden
In conjunction with the tour, the Andover Garden Club is holding a Green Elephant sale, offering perennial plants and herbs; gardening supplies; gently used gardening tools; indoor and outdoor containers; and a few unexpected treasures. The sale will be held at 197 Haggetts Pond Road. While no ticket is required for the sale, tour tickets will be available there for purchase.
People are invited to extend the tour by visiting Henderson Garden, located at the junction of River Road and Chandler Road. The club created the garden in the early 2000s and tends it to this day.
