The Town of Andover’s Planning and Land Use Division along with the Andover Arts and Culture Alliance are happy to present the fourth annual ARTful Andover Art Walk which kicks off on Satuarday, October 3 from 9 AM – 1 PMat the Andover Farmers Market and will run through Saturday, October 31st
at 25 local businesses. 
The Art Walk is a perfect way to enjoy Andover this fall and enjoy more than 34 local artists work featured at 25 business locations in Downtown. The Art Walk is a self-guided tour of some amazing art and unique business locations. Andover Fit Body Boot Camp

​Tai Chi (Taiji) is a gentle, low-impact exercise suitable for participants of any age and varying physical ability. It is a therapeutic exercise derived from Chinese martial arts, focusing on the circulation of Chi (Qi), or "life energy" found within all living things. Sometimes called "moving meditation," millions around the world practice it daily as a gentle stress-reducing exercise.
Some benefits of Tai Chi &amp; Qigong include: ~ Reduced stress ~ Increased mobility, flexibility &amp; balance ~ Increased energy &amp; vitality ~ Improved general health ~ Relief from asthma symptoms, back pain, arthritis, high blood pressure, and more.
Classes are supportive and suitable for all ages and abilities, helping you feel more relaxed, balanced, and energized from week one.

Your ticket includes playing Mah Jongg, prizes, and a ton of fun socializing and engaging with friends, old and new. For some excitement and to foster community engagement, we’ll be mixing the levels of play and rotating tables. Do you love to sing? Have you sung in a choir before—or always wanted to try? Andover Choral Society invites singers throughout the Merrimack Valley and surrounding communities to “Come Sing with Us” as it begins its 2026–27 season under the leadership of new Music Director Dr. Charles Tyler Turner. Andover Choral Society will hold open rehearsals for prospective singers on Monday, September 28th and Monday, October 5th from 7:20 to 9:30 p.m. at Christ Church, 33 Central Street, Andover, MA. All voice parts are welcome. While there is no audition to join, singers should be able to match pitch and follow music, and regular attendance and committed participation are expected. &nbsp;The season will culminate in a concert on February 7, 2027, featuring Gabriel Fauré’s beloved Requiem,&nbsp;Haydn's&nbsp;Te Deum,&nbsp;and Rey's&nbsp;Three Tangos.
Andover Choral Society is a volunteer community chorus that brings together singers of different ages, professions, backgrounds, and levels of musical experience. The group is dedicated to presenting exceptional performances, connecting to the larger community, and fostering an appreciation of choral music. They perform two concerts per year, singing a repertoire that focuses on fine choral and choral-orchestral works from the Baroque era to the present day. In addition to the annual concerts, the chorus performs at area assisted living facilities during the holiday season and at other community events. 
Founded in 1929, Andover Choral Society is looking ahead to celebrating its 100th Anniversary under the leadership of new Music Director Dr. Charles Tyler Turner. Dr. Turner brings extensive experience as a choral and orchestral conductor, music educator, and nonprofit leader to his new role with Andover Choral Society. He is enthusiastic about welcoming new singers to the organization and issued an invitation to prospective members. "There is something special about coming together to learn and perform great music. I would love to welcome you to the Andover Choral Society!"

Calling All Singers!  Andover Choral Society Kicks off New Season

The Andover Garden Club will kick off the club year on October 6 by showcasing the expertise of its members.
Four club members with many years of experience in their own home gardens and beyond will discuss a variety of gardening-related topics:
--Rosemary Halloran, past president of the Andover Garden Club, will present ideas to incorporate into the home garden.
--Joann Michalik will address the nearly universal desire for low-maintenance gardening with her discussion entitled the “Modern No-Work Gardener.”
--Maria Shapiro, a certified Master Gardener, will address soil, the quality of which is critical to successful gardening.
--Caroline Grady will offer ideas for incorporating nature into our yards. She will also highlight the various schools (landscape design, horticulture, floral design, and environmental) offered to members of clubs that operate under the auspices of the Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts.
When, Where, and How
The event will be held at South Church (41 Central Street, Andover MA) on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. It will begin at 10:00 AM with social time and refreshments, followed by a business meeting and the presentations.
The public is encouraged to take advantage of this program. A $10 donation is requested of nonmembers. Guests should mention if they are a member of another garden club.

Founded in 1927, the Andover Garden Club (www.andovergardenclub.org) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that encourages the study and practice of horticulture, landscape design, and floral design; aids in the beautification of the town of Andover; and helps protect and conserve natural resources. A member of the Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts, Inc., and National Garden Clubs, Inc., the club provides both financial and hands-on support to a variety of municipal, educational, and environmental organizations throughout the region.
