DCS Employment Opportunities

DCS is currently actively looking for potential employees for the roles of Beach Buddies Program Director and Outer Limits Program Director

DCS is currently actively looking for potential employees for the roles of Beach Buddies Program Director and Outer Limits Program Director for the summer of 2015. These roles will oversee summer program operations while supervised by full time DCS employees. Job descriptions, including requirements, are listed below under Open Positions.

Seasonal Employment (students, counselors, lifeguards, program assistants)

DCS accepts applications for Seasonal Employees (students, counselors, lifeguards, program assistants) on a rolling basis, year round.

Applicants should drop off their completed application in the DCS office, or alternatively can email, fax, or mail the completed form to a member of the DCS office.

Positions available for Season Employment for students include:

  • Playground Position
  • Lifeguard/Swim Instructor
  • Bradford Ski Monitor
  • Tennis Instructor
  • Concession Stand
  • Volunteer
  • Sports Assistant
  • Science Assistant
  • Other

Here is some information to keep in mind for Seasonal (student) Employment!

  1. You must be 16 years of age or older.
  2. You must be an Andover resident.
  3. Fill out the application - which can be found here or in the office at 36 Bartlet Street.
  4. Please do not have your parents call us/pick up/fill out/drop off your application. We would like to see and hear from you as the potential employee.

  6. Are you looking for a summer job with DCS? Get your foot in the door during the school year by volunteering or working one of our programs. For example: Become a Bob French Basketball League referee or coach, be a monitor for the Bradford Ski Program, or volunteer to work at our annual Spring Egg Hunt.
  7. Be familiar with DCS! Look at our DCS booklet, check us out online, and know a little about who we are, what we do, and what you would like to do with us before you apply.
  8. We are recreation - so bring your energy, creativity, and enthusiasm to your interview and to work everyday and you will go far with us!
