English At Large (EAL) is pleased to announce the expansion of its service area, to include the Andover community. EAL now provides free, high-quality instructional programs in 24 local

communities in Middlesex and Essex County, designed for adult immigrants who need to improve their English skills in order to achieve their life goals.

“The decision to formally expand our service area is part of our strategic plan to seek new partnerships that support our efforts to engage adult learners in underserved communities,” explains EAL Executive Director Maureen Willis. “The Andover Public Library is excited to work with us, and this partnership will help meet a real need in Andover, where a growing number of immigrants who can benefit from our services live and work.”

EAL’s One-to-One Tutoring, Conversation Groups, Career Access Lab and Beginner English Programs help local adult immigrants develop the English skills and cultural understanding they need to obtain meaningful employment, advance their careers, support their children’s education, access community resources, prepare for U.S. citizenship and participate in community life.

We envision a world in which all people have the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to take advantage of opportunity, enrich their communities, and achieve their life goals.
