AHS Drama Guild to compete in Drama Festival

Andover High School Drama Guild has been selected to advance to the Semi Final Round of the Massachusetts Drama Festival: A competition between high schools, each preparing a play no longer than 40 minutes in length.  Andover will perform "The Laramie Project" a moving true story about the brutal beating and death of a Wyoming college student because he was openly gay in a non-accepting community. (parental guidance suggested)  Andover's play has wonderful lighting and set design as well as vocals and original music.  A 10.00 ticket buys you an entire day of theater, 6 shows in total, or you can come just for those of your choice.  At Saturday's Festival, two schools will be chosen to continue on to the Massachusetts Finals in Boston in 2 weeks.  Andover set to perform at 4:00. For more information contact Westford Academy at 978-692-5570 or Susan Choquette, AHS Drama Director at schoquette@aps1.net.
