
Irish poet Kieran Furey draws on his own family history and the tragic stories around the Strokestown estate as told in the Strokestown house’s Irish Famine Museum to explore the conflicts, outcomes, generational changes, and memory of the 1840s famine, many of whose exiles arrived in the cities and towns of New England.
