Children's WWII Tea

Visit the Andover Historical Society for a delightful children’s tea party and learn about the WWII era on March 29th from 3:30-5:30.  Girls ages 7-11 are invited to attend with their favorite American Girl Doll and learn about Molly.  See artifacts from the era and hear stories about what was happening in Andover during this tumultuous decade.  During this event children will experience what it might have been like growing up with air raid sirens going off and  not being able to buy your favorite sweets or even nylons at the store.  Go shopping with ration stamps, eat a treat made without rationed ingredients, learn tricks to be thrifty, listen to classic radio shows while making your very own “Fala” bookmark!  Remember to bring your favorite American Girl Doll for a special tea party.  Reservations are required, costs include crafts and snack $15 per child and accompanying adult $10.
