Learn about the history of buildings, businesses, and people who lived in Andover and along Main Street. Meet in front of the Historical Society at 97 Main Street. Please be prepared for weather conditions. This tour is free to all Andover Historical Society members and $5 for non-members.
As the Historical Society’s current First Vice President and long-time member, Jim Batchelder spends a great deal of time researching Andover’s history and his latest passion has been delving into the origins of the town’s historic Main Street area. Sharing details about past businesses and homes, as well as many stories about the characters, and even pets, who could be found there, Mr. Batchelder’s guided walking tour is sure to enlighten even the most knowledgeable Andoverite.
