Boston Music Center and Andover Youth Services have partnered to offer our second Youth Rock Workshop this summer.
In the Youth Rock Workshop, musicians are grouped into bands of approximately 5 students each. Each band selects 2-3 songs that will form the focus of their lessons and practice during the workshop. Throughout the week, students will learn:
– Basic scales and music theory
– Improved instrument technique
– Basics of performance
– The musical role of their instrument and its interaction in the group
– Basic musical arranging and song production
– How to run an effective rehearsal

At the end of the week, the student bands will perform their chosen songs for their friends and family on Friday evening. Friday's show is free and the community is welcome to attend.
