Fatal Rollover on Route 93 North in Andover

State police investigated a fatal rollover crash just after 2:30 Wednesday afternoon on Route 93 north at Lowell Street in Andover.

State police found a 2014 Lexus ES350 in the woods off the highway upon their arrival, and a man who was non-responsive in the vehicle. Trooper Mical O’Brien performed CPR on the driver until Andover Fire Department arrived on scene and the operator was transported to Lawrence General Hospital in an ambulance.

The driver, a 66-year-old Lawrence man, was pronounced dead at 3:49 p.m. at Lawrence General Hospital. The identity of the operator is not being released pending notification of next of kin.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by troopers from the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and Crime Scene Services.
