Fidget Spinners as a Learning Tool in the Classroom
Using a lesson plan, students and their teacher learned about the scientific forces behind the ubiquitous fidget spinners

If you can’t beat-em join them! Some teachers might be driven to distraction with the use of fidget spinners by students in the classroom, but St. Monica School (Methuen) fourth-grade teacher Mrs. Deb O’Neil decided to use a lesson from www.erintegration.com to use fidgets in the classroom. This lesson introduced students to Newton’s Laws of Motion and how forces are acting on everything around us, including fidget spinners. Students in grades four, five and seven participated in the lesson.
