Gilbert, Huntress Win Selectmen's Race In Andover Election

Incumbent moderator Doherty and School Committee member Susan McCready were also reelected in Tuesday's election.

ANDOVER, MA -- Early election results in Andover have Annie Gilbert and Chris Huntress winning the two open seats on the Board of Selectmen in Tuesday's Andover town election. Incumbent Bob Landry, who withdrew from the race after ballots were finalized, collected 682 votes to Gilbert's 3,084 votes and Huntress's 2,838 votes.

The fourth candidate in the race, Joe Albuquerque, finished third with 1,897 votes.

Other winning incumbents include Moderator Sheila Doherty, School Committee member Susan McCready and Marilyn M. Fitzgerald, who ran unopposed for reelection to the Greater Lawrence Regional Vocational Technical School District Committee. Tracey Spruce was the top vote-getter in the three-way race for the two open spots on the school committee.
