'Kind, Strong And Always Has A Smile': Andover Hero Surgical Tech
Andover's LeeAnne Voyer is working full time at Lowell General while caring for her kids and finishing her nursing degree.
ANDOVER, MA — Amid the coronavirus outbreak, the already-vital work of healthcare workers is even more important — and risky. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

Is the nominee considered an “essential worker”?
Yes.
What does the nominee do for work?
She is a surgical technician at Lowell General Hospital.
Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
Not only is LeeAnne an essential worker heading into work full-time to both work in the operating room and to float to wherever she’s needed in the hospital during this crisis to help out, she is also a mom of twins, working full-time as their home-school teacher and caregiver. She also is trying to finish up her nursing degree she has been working on for years, and she won’t even get the satisfaction of a proper graduation.
What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
She is kind, strong and always has a smile on her face. I’ve never known her to say ‘No’ to any task given to her. She’s driven, always busy and on-the-go. And she’s raising a couple of the nicest, fun-loving kids I’ve ever met.
Thank you for all you do, LeeAnne!
