Lawrence Store Sells Scratch-Off Ticket Worth $1 Million: Mass Lottery

A lucky winner claimed a $1 million prize on a lottery ticket sold in Lawrence.

LAWRENCE, MA — Gotham City Nominee Trust of Quincy has claimed a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$1,000,000 Fat Wallet” instant ticket game.

The trust, represented by trustee David Spillane, chose to receive its prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 before taxes, according to Mass Lottery.

The winning ticket was purchased at Cumberland Farms at 320 S. Broadway in Lawrence. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale.

The winner overcame odds of 1 in 3,024,000 to land the instant game's top prize.
