Mass., New Hampshire Police Search For 'Armed, Dangerous' Haverhill Man

Police are searching for two suspects in a Salem, NH, carjacking case — including a Haverhill man who is considered "armed and dangerous."

HAVERHILL, MA — Police are searching for two suspects accused of multiple attempted armed carjackings in Salem, New Hampshire. One of the suspects has been identified as Nathan Saben, 35, with a last known address in Haverhill.

Haverhill police reported at 10:05 p.m. Tuesday that they had pursued a white Kia on Route 97 toward Salem. Police stopped the pursuit prior to the New Hampshire state line.

Moments later, Salem dispatch received calls reporting attempted carjackings by a man and a woman armed with a rifle and driving a white car. The two attempted carjackings were on Main Street (Route 97).

The victims escaped with their vehicles in both cases.

A third carjacking attempt was reported at the intersection of Main Street and Geremonty Drive in Salem. A young woman was driving a Toyota Camry that was blocked in by a white Kia.

She was forced out of her car at gunpoint and her car was stolen. The victim was not injured.

The suspects abandoned the white Kia sedan in the middle of the Main Street intersection. The car had the same license plate as the Kia that Haverhill police had been pursuing.

The stolen vehicle is a black 2009 Toyota Camry with New Hampshire license plate 2260113. The vehicle has Central Catholic High School and WPI stickers on the rear windshield.

Saben is 6'1" and about 220 lbs. with black hair, hazel eyes, and a neck tattoo on the right side of his neck and on both forearms.

Police said Saben should be considered armed and dangerous.

All victims gave a similar description of the rifle, saying it was similar to an AR-15.

Police in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts are searching for the stolen vehicle and Saben.

Anyone who sees the stolen Camry or Saben or has information regarding his whereabouts should call 911.
