Forty-seven more Monican Hall residents tested positive, as of Thursday evening, bringing the total to 64.

ANDOVER, MA — Merrimack College reported 47 more positive coronavirus cases in the outbreak at its Monican Hall residence, Thursday.

The college conducted testing on "a large percentage" of the dorm's residents when they left the college to go into quarantine, Tuesday. The 47 new tests brings the dorm's total to 64.

The college tested over 3,800 people over the last three days and did not find evidence that the cluster extended beyond Monican Hall, it said.
