Nominations For Virginia Cole Community Service Award Open In Andover
The award is presented annually to a resident who has made outstanding, long-term contributions to the Town of Andover.

The Virginia Cole Community Service Award is presented annually to a resident who has made outstanding, long-term contributions to the Town of Andover in an elected, appointed or volunteer role. Nominations for the 2024 Virginia Cole Award will be accepted through Friday, April 5, and can be submitted online.
Nominations will be reviewed by the Town Moderator, Chair of the Select Board, and Chair of the School Committee. The winner of the Virginia Cole Award will be announced at the Annual Town Meeting on April 29, 2024.Nominations can be submitted by e-mailing a brief biography of a nominee to manager@andoverma.us, or by completing the form at the link below.

2024 Virginia Cole Award Nomination FormLast year, Gail Ralston was honored as the as the recipient of the Virginia Cole Community Service Award during the second night of Annual Town Meeting. Gail's service to Andover spans more than three decades, and includes time as a member of the Select Board, the Andover Center for History and Culture's Board of Directors, the Town Governance Study Committee, the Spring Grove Cemetery Trustees, and the Rotary Club. A talented researcher and writer, Gail has worked tirelessly to ensure that important stories from Andover's past live on through her contributions to the "Andover Stories" column in the Andover Townsman.
