Obituary: David George Carr, 55, Successful Businessman

Attended Melrose High School and went on to graduate from Westfield State College where he majored in business

David George Carr, 55, died peacefully at his home, November 12, 2014, with his loving family at his side, after a courageous battle with cancer. For sixteen years, he was the beloved husband of JeriLynne Quirk - Carr. He was the proud father of Riley, Tegan and Logan Carr all of Andover.

A son of George T. (Jim) Carr and the late Doris M. Carr, he was born January 24, 1959, in Melrose where he was raised and educated.

David attended Melrose High School and went on to graduate from Westfield State College where he majored in business. He was a successful businessman and greatly admired by his colleagues.

He loved and lived life to the fullest. David particularly cherished time spent with his family, and taking them on numerous adventures and wonderful trips, especially to the National Parks. He was an avid Patriot’s fan.

David acquired many close friendships in his lifetime. He was a kind, fun, energetic and caring person. His good humor will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, Jeri and his children, he is survived by his brother James Carr and his wife Jacqueline of Dracut; his sister, Cynthia Barton and her husband, Patrick of Lancaster, PA; his sister-in-laws, Susan Millone and her husband, John of Temple City, CA ; Maureen Pendergrast and her husband, Daniel, of Huntington Beach, CA; his brother- in-laws Steven Quirk and his wife, Carolyn of Costa Mesa, CA; and Richard Quirk and his husband, Paul Ramirez of Friendly Hills, CA; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Kaplan House - Care Dimensions for their excellent care.

Family and friends are invited to his visitation 3 until 8 P.M. on Tuesday, November 18, at the Conte Funeral Home, 28 Florence St. Andover, with a funeral Mass at 10 A.M. Wednesday at St. Augustine Church, 35 Essex St. Andover.
