Obituary: Diane K. (Rochester) Butler, Member of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society for Many Years

Diane K. (Rochester) Butler, a resident of Andover and beloved wife of the late Fred J. Butler, passed away at the Courtyard Nursing Center in Medford on Sunday evening, January 4, 2015. She was 78 years old.

Born in Ionia, MI, on January 7, 1936, she was the beloved daughter of the late Donald M. and Alberta A. (Kruger) Rochester. Diane was a graduate of Michigan State University and had been employed as a Registered Nurse in her younger years. A creative woman, Diane enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society for many years. She also enjoyed photography and attending classes at Radcliffe College. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her loving daughter; Dawn K. Butler of Medford, Scott P. and his wife Ruth Butler of Idaho, brother and sister-in-law; Paul and his wife Nancy Rochester of Jacksonville, Florida and grandson; Todd J. Butler of North Carolina. She was also the mother of the late Todd J. Butler and sister of the late Phillip Rochester. Funeral services will be privately held.
