James Laurence (Larry) Higgins, 80 of Andover, passed away on November 24. Larry was born in Lawrence to the late John and Madeleine Higgins and was a lifelong resident of Andover. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 48 years, Janet Gleason Higgins and is survived by his children; Nancy Ellen of Charlestown, Kathy Kreider and her husband, David of Boxford, Patrick and his wife, Cara of North Andover and Timothy and his wife, Pamela of Reading and siblings Maureen H. O’Connell of Los Gatos, CA, Carol O’Connor and her husband, John and John G. Higgins, and cousin Ann H. Bride of Andover as well as his dear friend, Lucille Benson. He is the proud grandfather of : Christopher and Katie Kreider, Jack, Tess, Maddie, Caroline and Julia Higgins and is survived by several nieces and nephews. He attended Phillips Academy, Cranwell Prep and was a graduate of Merrimack College. He spent over 30 years of his career at Camp, Dresser & McKee. He was an avid sports fan and his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a lifelong member of St. Augustine’s Parish in Andover.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday, November 28th from 4-8 pm at Conte Funeral Home 28 Florence St. Andover, MA. 01810. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, November 29th at 9:30 am at St. Augustine’s Church, Essex Street, Andover followed by burial in St. Augustine’s Cemetery.
