Pentucket Players to Present 'Music Man'!

By turns wicked, funny, warm, romantic and touching, The Music Man is family entertainment at its best.

There’s trouble in River City, Iowa! And Professor Harold Hill promises to deal with it by forming a boy’s band! The glitter of crashing cymbals and the blare of “Seventy-Six Trombones” will once again fill the air as Pentucket Players begins their 26th season with Meredith Wilson’s classic musical play, “The Music Man”, November 22, 23, and 24, at Haverhill City Hall Auditorium.

Bryan Williams of Lawrence and Shannon Eldridge of Haverhill, appearing as Prof. Hill and the stuck-up librarian, Marian Paroo, head up the cast of 40 adults, teens and children representing eight communities in and around the Merrimack Valley area. Songs from the score include such favorites as “Lida Rose” and “Till There Was You.” The production is directed by Pentucket’s Resident Artistic Director, John R. Buzzell of Haverhill, with Music Direction by John Eldridge and Choreography by Ashley Kelley, both of whom reside in Bradford, Ma.

Tickets for the performances are available online by visiting the Pentucket Players’ website, www.pentucketplayers.org . Performances are planned for Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 pm, Nov 22 & 23, and Saturday and Sunday, Nov.23 & 24 @ 1:00 pm .
