Police Alert: Andover Residents Being Bombarded With Scam Calls

Andover Police are being bombarded with calls from people who think officers are calling them from all over the country. Police dispatchers took over 50 calls in one hour on Friday.

If you see 978-475-1212 Town of Andover on you caller ID it is not us! Officers would leave a message if they needed to contact you.

Andover Police Chief Patrick Keefe is reminding residents to never give out their information.

The Andover Police Department has received numerous reports over the last couple days from residents stating a representative from their electric company called to ask if they’d like to reduce their bill or get solar panels. Residents from Andover, Westford and Lancaster have been affected by the calls.
