Long anticipated, Andover's first Indian restaurant will open next week.

Raagini Indian Bistro, Shawsheen Plaza, will open Monday, November 5, according to owner and manager Jaspreet Singh. The restaurant is located next to Rite Aid in the unit formerly occupied by Cardsmart.
Monday’s grand opening will include a ribbon cutting ceremony by Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce Vice President Wil Carpenter and Assistant Vice President Michael Bevilacqua.
“We will bring the red ribbon, gold scissors and camera,” said Carpenter. He also explained they are happy to be involved and support a Chamber member.

"Our customers, many from Andover, always wanted us to open up an Indian restaurant in town," he explained.
Raagini's Bistro will be a little more upscale with daily lunch buffets, Singh said. The menu will include traditional Tandoori dishes and some healthy choices, as well as other Indian specialties.
It will be operated as a family affair, with his father as the chef, an uncle also in the kitchen, and a cousin serving as the host, explained Singh.
The hours will be Sun-Thurs, 11:30am-10:30pm, and Fri and Sat, 11:30am-11:00pm. A daily buffet will be available from 11:30-2:30pm. The menu is listed on the website, and the phone number is 978-809-3094.
