Salem, N.H. Victim Named in Fatal Crash on I-495
The single-car accident occurred early Sunday morning in Andover, Mass.
A Salem, N.H. man was killed in a single-car crash on Interstate 495 in Andover. early Sunday morning. Police recently released the name of deceased as Zahir Khan, 64, of Salem, NH. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Around 5 a.m., troopers from the Massachusetts State Police barracks in Andover responded to I-495 north, just prior to I-93 in Andover, for a report of a single-car crash, according to a press release.
Initial investigation by Trooper Douglas Dolan indicated that Khan might have had a medical emergency, causing his 2010 Toyota Corolla to leave the roadway and strike the guardrail. He was transported from the scene to Lawrence General Hospital by ambulance, where he was pronounced dead.
