SUV Catches Fire On I-93 In Andover: Report
Two people inside the Jeep were able to escape before it burst into flames.
ANDOVER, MA — An SUV was engulfed in flames on the side of I-93 in Andover on Sunday afternoon, NBC-10 Boston reported. The vehicle fire occurred at 1:15 p.m. near where the highway intersects with I-495 at Exit 40B.
Two people in the Jeep Patriot were able to escape right before it caught fire.
The fire was brought under control by about 2 p.m. Traffic was backed up 6 miles.
