Two Arrested, Charged With Drug Trafficking In Andover

ANDOVER, MA — Two men were arrested in Andover Friday and charged with trafficking Fentanyl, the Andover Police Department said Tuesday.

Andover police detectives saw a white pickup truck with New Hampshire plates parked near a local hotel in the River Road area, the department said. A minivan entered the lot and drove by the truck, then the truck followed the minivan.

"Detectives followed and observed these two vehicles and witnessed behavior typical of a drug transaction," the Department said. "Both vehicles were stopped as they left the area and the on-scene investigation resulted in the recovery of over 300 grams of suspected Fentanyl and $3000 cash."

Two men were arrested and charged with trafficking over 10 grams of Fentanyl. One had an additional warrant for drug violations, the Department said.
