ARLINGTON, MA — State and local police are now on the lookout for a blue Ford Explorer after a suspect led them on a dangerous motor vehicle chase early Wednesday morning, according to a report from NBC 10 Boston.
State Troopers and Arlington officers responded to the scene at the corner of Decatur Street and Arizona Terrace at approximately 3 a.m. to a report of a car accident. A red Nissan was found crashed head-on into a utility pole, and the driver had fled the area. Police soon identified the car as one that had been stolen out of Medford.
While searching for the driver, police noticed the Ford SUV with two people inside wearing ski masks. After being confronted, the car allegedly went over a curb to escape police, nearly striking several officers. Police believe the driver of the Nissan entered was one of the people in the Ford.
