ARLINGTON, MA — Residents may see delays in yard waste collection this week after WM, the town's waste and recycling contractor, did not dispatch yard waste collection trucks for Monday's route, according to town officials.
The town said WM plans to send an additional truck Tuesday to collect Monday's missed route while also beginning Tuesday's scheduled pickups. However, officials said the company may continue to run behind schedule as the week progresses.
Residents are encouraged to place yard waste at the curb on their regularly scheduled collection day and leave it there until it is collected.
"We apologize for the delays," the town said in its announcement.
WM, formerly known as Waste Management, provides curbside trash, recycling and yard waste collection for Arlington under contract with the town.
