Arlington Recreation Opens Registration For Fall And Winter Programs

Some programs have limited enrollment and may fill on a first-come, first-served basis.

ARLINGTON, MA — The town's recreation department has opened registration for dozens of sports, fitness, educational, and enrichment activities now available for residents of all ages.

The seasonal lineup includes youth basketball, soccer, football, rugby, volleyball, golf, tennis, fencing, skating, swimming, and ultimate frisbee, along with adult pickleball, yoga, tai chi, fencing, and walking groups. The department is also offering a variety of preschool programs, after-school activities and adaptive recreation opportunities, as well as STEM classes covering topics such as game design, geocaching and outdoor exploration.

Several returning community programs are also accepting registration, including the InclYOUsion adaptive recreation program, Kid Care Preschool, Kid Care Afterschool, the Arlington Reservoir Walking Group and the department's Recumbent Trike Rental program. Community garden plots at Magnolia Park are also available through Arlington Recreation.

Programs are scheduled throughout the fall and winter, with individual start dates, times, and registration deadlines varying by activity. Some programs have limited enrollment and may fill on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration is available through Arlington Recreation's online MyRec portal.

Arlington Recreation operates as a self-supporting town department and oversees recreation programming, parks and fields, Reservoir Beach, Ed Burns Arena, and other community facilities.
