ARLINGTON, MA — A resident is richer after two identical Keno tickets each won a $75,000 prize in the same Massachusetts State Lottery drawing.

James Rogers won a total of $150,000 after playing two identical $5, 8-spot Keno wagers for the Friday, July 31 drawing. According to the MSL, Rogers claimed his winnings on Tuesday, Aug. 3, at Lottery headquarters in Dorchester and said he plans to save the money.

The winning tickets were purchased at the local Knights of Columbus on 15 Winslow St. The organization will receive a $1,500 bonus for selling the winning tickets.

Keno players select between one and 12 numbers, or "spots," from a field of 80 numbers. Twenty winning numbers are drawn approximately every three minutes from 5:04 a.m. until 1:01 a.m. each day, with prizes determined by the number of spots played, the wager amount and how many numbers are matched. Players can wager between $1 and $20 per drawing, with an optional Keno Bonus feature available for certain plays that can multiply winnings.

The Massachusetts State Lottery shares a daily list of winning tickets and drawing results that can be found online.
