According to the application packet, the apartments are available to eligible households earning up to 70 percent of the area median income. Maximum annual household income is $84,000 for one person and $96,040 for two people. Monthly rent is $1,741, with tenants responsible for paying utilities separately.

The packet lists a minimum annual gross income of $52,230, although income and assets may be considered together when determining eligibility. The minimum-income requirement does not apply to applicants with a Section 8 voucher or other qualifying rental assistance.

The apartments are part of a five-story mixed-use development containing nine units. The affordable rentals are located on the third and fourth floors and measure approximately 760 and 744 square feet, respectively. Each includes one bathroom, air conditioning, and an in-unit washer and dryer. Parking is subject to availability.

MCO Housing Services will hold a virtual public information meeting via Zoom at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 28. A recording will be available on the agency's website through the application deadline.

Applicants will initially submit basic household, income, and asset information. Those who advance through the lottery and pass the leasing office's screening process will be required to submit detailed financial documentation before receiving final approval. Incomplete or late applications will not be included in the lottery.

Interested parties can download the information packet and access application materials through the MCO Housing Services website.
