Join the Wellesley Symphony Orchestra for our November concert at MassBay in Wellesley. Tickets are pay-what-you-can and can be purchased in advance at this link. MassBay is easy to get to with free and convenient parking, a reception after the concert, and is minutes away from fine dining and shopping in Wellesley Square.
This concert features two great works by Pyotr Tchaikovsky: Capriccio Italien, his love letter to Rome after his vacation there, and his epic Piano Concerto No. 1, which premiered almost exactly 150 years ago, on October 25, 1875 with the Boston Symphony. Between these two pieces, we present William Grant Still's Symphony No. 3 - "The Sunday Symphony".
We are thrilled to have Young Steinway Artist Taige Wang as soloist. Taige Wang has won numerous piano competitions, and has performed with The Cleveland Orchestra and at many prestigious venues, including Carnegie Hall.
