$165+ Attleboro School Bus Passes: Application Deadline Aug. 19
Friday is the deadline to apply for the new $165-and-up bus passes for many Attleboro students in grades 7-12 this school year.
ATTLEBORO, MA — A new bus fee for many Attleboro students kicks in this school year and the deadline for families to register is later this week. Friday is the deadline for applications for students in grades 7-12 who live 1.1 miles or more away from their assigned school. Fees start at $165 per student.
School officials recently approved the fee to plug budget gaps. Students who live 1 mile or less from their school are considered walkers and can't ride on a bus.

- First student: $165
- Second student: $145
- Third student: $120
- Fourth student: $80
- Family maximum: $500

Students who don't register before Aug. 19 won't be eligible for busing until Sept. 12.

School officials released this statement:
"There will be a 'registration freeze for transportation, starting August 22 and running through September 9, during which we will not accept any requests for transportation under any circumstance. This period is necessary to finalize bus lists and verify ridership. Therefore, it is important that everyone understands that anyone who has not applied for transportation by August 19 will not be able to board our busses until September 12."
