FALL RIVER, MA — Two men were killed in a crash in Fall River Sunday, police said. The crash happened on Route 24 at about 1:30 a.m. The driver, Joseph Burnham, 36, and a passenger, Laurence Wheeler, 23, both of Providence, were killed. Another 23-year-old passenger was hospitalized. Police said the trio were in a Mercury sedan driving near Exit 8A when the vehicle veered off to the right off the road and struck a tree.
