The 2016 SMARTS Summer Institute, since 1986, is a unique arts immersion program for young people 5-18 in creative writing, dance, drama, film/video, percussion, visual arts and swimming. The program runs July 5-29, 2016, 8:30-3:30 PM. Before and After Care is also offered.

All of which gives children an advantage for success in school.”
Taught by dedicated and dynamic artist mentors, the SMARTS Summer Institute emphasizes the process of creating and imaginative thinking. The theme this summer is “Through the Lens”. The program provides skill and technique training, critical thinking and problem solving, aesthetics, and performance experiences. The SMARTS Summer Institute embraces all ability levels and offers challenges that empower students to make connections with their peers through team building and develop self-awareness and self-esteem.
