• 1510 South Washington St. (northstarreporter.com) — North Attleboro's Conservation Commission will hold a public meeting Sept. 15 on a request to repair and clean a stormwater drainage outlet at 1510 South Washington Street. Attleboro-area residents who care about runoff, flooding, or wetlands impacts can review plans online and contact the Conservation Department with questions before the hearing.
• Cross Country Heads to Friar Invitational for 2026 Season Opener (gocrimson.com) — Harvard's cross country teams open their 2026 season Friday at the Friar Invitational on the Mark Coogan Cross Country Course at Highland Park in Attleboro. Races start late afternoon, bringing top collegiate runners and extra activity to the park and surrounding area as the course also prepares to host the Ivy League championships in October.
• Governor's Council incumbents sweep primary challenges (wbur.org) — Democratic incumbents on the Massachusetts Governor's Council all survived primary challenges, meaning Attleboro's District 2 representative, Tamisha Civil, heads to November facing Republican Francis Thomas Crimmins. With most councilors now effectively re-elected, Attleboro residents can expect continuity in how judicial nominees, pardons, and Parole Board appointments are reviewed for the next term.
