That figure is up from 107 in 2014. <a href="https://patch.com/massachusetts/boston/mass-violent-crime-totals-rise-2015-murders-rapes-robberies-decline" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Statewide</a>, violent crimes were up slightly, though murders and rapes were down.  The data is from the FBI's latest Uniform Crime Report, which measured violent crime across the country in 2015. This is Attleboro's data:  Attleboro (pop. 44,079)   <ul><li>Murder: 0</li><li>Rape: 19</li><li>Robbery: 12</li><li>Aggravated assault: 78</li><li>Property crime: 812</li><li>Burglary: 183</li><li>Theft: 629</li></ul>These statistics inform law enforcement in budgeting and resource allocation decisions; they also influence anti-crime legislation.
