Attleboro Drunk Driver Who Killed Pedestrian On the Run: Police

ATTLEBORO, MA — Local police said they’re searching for an Attleboro man who caused a fatal hit-and-run crash in Central Falls, R.I. earlier this month.

Rigoberto Vasquez, 53, was drunk when he struck a pedestrian at about 3 a.m. on Sun., Jan. 17. The victim, a 51-year-old man, later died of his injuries. Vasquez was soon arrested on a host of charges.

He was arraigned last week and released on bail. Police said he failed to show up for a subsequent court date, so an arrest warrant was issued.

He was described as 6 feet tall and about 170 pounds. Police said he recently lived in Pawtucket.
