Attleboro I-95 Crash Leaves Six Injured

A multi-vehicle crash on I-95 in Attleboro Sunday night left six people injured.

ATTLEBORO —Attleboro Fire Department responded to a multi-vehicle crash on I-95 Sunday evening that left six people injured.

According to a press release from Chief Scott Lachance, fire officials received multiple reports of a serious crash just before exit 3 on I-95 at approximately 5 p.m. Attleboro Fire Department and Massachusetts State Police responded and found that there were four sedans and one pick-up truck involved in the crash.

A man and a woman in one of the sedans were entrapped and suffered life-threatening injuries. Fire officials used hydraulic equipment to extricate them and they were taken to Rhode Island Hospital.

The man driving the pick-up truck and three women in the other sedans suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

I-95 was closed for approximately 45 minutes on Sunday evening due to the incident, which remains under investigation by Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section.
