Attleboro Murderer's Life Sentence Upheld

Aaron Carney, 35, shot and killed Elizabeth Fontaine in 2009.

The Massachusetts Supreme Court this week upheld the murder conviction of Attleboro’s Aaron Carney.

In 2011, Carney, 35, was convicted of shooting 62-year-old Elizabeth Fontaine to death in 2009.

The court ruled the evidence against Carney was “overwhelming,” according to the Sun Chronicle.

Carney was reportedly friends with Fontaine’s son and had been living in her house.

He wrote a note that said he killed her because of her health problems, the Sun Chronicle reported.
