Attleboro's Sensata Ranked in Globe's List of Best Performing Companies
The Attleboro company was ranked No. 7 in Massachusetts by the Boston Globe last month.

Attleboro company Sensata was recognized by the Boston Globe last month for its sales, profits, and shareholder returns during 2012.
The Globe's 100 placed Sensata in the No. 7 slot this year. Last year, the Attleboro technology company was No. 77.
"Sensata is honored to be included in the Globe 100 for the second year in a row," President and Chief Executive Officer Martha Sullivan said in a press release "I want to thank the whole Sensata team as this recognition reinforces our commitment to growth and is a testament to the talent of our workforce. Our products play a mission-critical role in safety, energy efficiency and a clean environment and we are proud to be considered a leader in the technology-rich Massachusetts economy."

According to Boston.com, companies near the top of the list "all produced record or near-record 2012 financial results that propelled them to the top of the Boston Globe’s annual ranking of public companies in Massachusetts."
The company made headlines last fall when laid off workers from Sensata's Illinois plant protested Mitt Romney and Bain Capital outside of the Attleboro facility.
