ATTLEBORO, MA — The 2016 MCAS results were released Monday and Attleboro's scores hovered around the state average.
Below are the results for the 10th-grade tests in English, math, and science:
English

- 2016: 92 percent scored advanced or proficient
- State average: 91 percent
Math
- 2016: 82 percent
- State average: 78 percent
Science

Statewide, Massachusetts students scores remained flat and three more Boston-area schools were labeled "underperforming."
State education officials said MCAS (Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System) results are used to making improvements in teaching and learning and hold school districts and students "accountable."
