Here we are - Memorial Day Weekend! I am quite certain that during this past New England winter, some were wondering if this weekend would come at all, right?
And Sunday and Monday are supposed to be blesses by Mother Nature too,.
My son and girlfriend just showed up to let my wife and I 'baby sit' their dog for the weekend! They're off to the Cape. Our 9 yr old Golden just barely tolerates her!
My daughter went to the 2014 Concert at Woodstock! Yup, same place as the as the great and original Woodstock back in the good old days, which featured rock music around the clock, lots of rain and mud, drugs, booze, sex and rock & roll.
The 2014 version is supposed to be much more under control - no booze or drugs but probably some rain and mud to start things off for a weekend of great music. But whoa….what group(s) can match the music of the 60/s and early 70's??? Hopefully there are enough Port-a-Johns this time around!
I for one, can't wait to see the great photographs to arise out of the frenzied musical weekend. "Street photography" gone wild, sort of. Are you going away this weekend? Or having your gang over for a barbecue?
Holiday Photo Hints!
Use the 'Portrait' setting to take pics of friends and pets.
Have them turn away from the sun and use the camera's flash to light them up!
Set WB-white balance - to Flash
Rotate the Scene Mode selector know to Sports for pics of kids and pets running
around.
Turn your camera to vertical position to cut out unimportant stuff/junk to the sides of your subject.
Look for scenes of people staring off into space for a memorable candid. Or maybe they are taking a snooze after all the great food and drink.
Have a safe weekend - make sure you or your guests are OK to drive home. Otherwise, take their keys and get out a sleeping bag for them!
Enjoy
