Caught: New Bedford Woman Wanted For Threats To PDs, Schools

Heather Perkins allegedly made bomb threats and other violent threats to 25 police departments and three schools.

BOSTON, MA – A New Bedford woman wanted for allegedly making bomb threats and other violent threats to dozens of police departments and schools was arrested Thursday night, reports say. According to the Boston Globe, Heather Perkins, 37, was arrested on Talbot Avenue in Dorchester around 9:15 p.m. She was taken into custody without incident.

Perkins threatened 25 police departments and three schools – the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth, Bridgewater State University and Springfield College, according to police.

Police said Perkins issued threats last week that forced the evacuation of New Bedford City Hall.
